Gross Value Added in Transport, Storage and Communication 
Transportation, Storage and Communication gathers speed
Transport, Storage and Communication grew by 4.9 percent from 3.0 percent recorded last year. The expanded growth of the sector can be attributed to the robust performance of Transport and Storage which posted a growth of 8.2 percent from 4.7 percent. Likewise, Communication accelerated by 2.8 percent from 2.0 percent.
The expanded growth of Transport and Storage can be attributed to the upswing of Storage and Services incidental to Transport by 14.8 percent from 9.2 percent. Meanwhile, Land and Water Transports accelerated its growth by 5.8 percent from 0.5 percent and 22.7 percent from 14.1 percent, respectively.
On the other hand, Air transport pulled down the growth of Transport and Storage with a decline of 1.4 percent from 12.7 percent.
